Physiotherapy involves adding progressive movement and exercises, balanced with rest, recovery and healthy lifestyle practices to optimize your healing process and get you back to doing the activities that you love.
My focus, as your physiotherapist, is on the actions that you can take to heal and rebuild after injury. As such, I do not offer passive modalities such as acupuncture, ultrasound or electrical stimulation as part of my practice.
Rather, I focus on establishing and progressing a plan alongside you to foster a sense of agency and hope in the often frustrating rehabilitation process.
Common frustrations that I help with as a physiotherapist are:
Helping to return runners back to their sport after injury
Coaching patients through the healing process when dealing with chronic and re-occurring injury concerns
Finding ways for patients to be active NOW while also rebuilding from injury
As a Bone Fit certified physio, working with patients with osteoporosis to build a safe exercise and movement plan
